Good to know
- Payroll works it out on each payday's pay before tax, rounded down to the pound, so a higher month means a higher repayment.
Questions
What if I have two plans?
With two undergraduate plans you repay 9% over the lower threshold, so choose the plan with the lower one. A Postgraduate Loan is repaid as well, at 6%.
Can I get money back?
If your pay for the whole tax year was under your plan's yearly threshold, you can ask for a refund.
Does it count interest?
No. It shows what payroll takes. Interest changes what you owe, not what you repay each payday.
